After speaking with the client, we were keen to incorporate both digital and worker bee/hive ideas in the logo. I proposed a honeycomb shape formed by circuitry. I believe simplicity is vital to making a logo memorable and easily recognisable.
I continued to develop the identity by creating printed business cards, flyers and posters. I was also asked to produce some photography to promote Digital Hive via social media.
As a second phase of the project, I was asked to design and build a website which was integrated with a booking platform. I created the designs in Sketch and then hand-coded a responsive website using Bootstrap's CSS framework.
I love how it's possible to communicate an idea with some simple animation, and I enjoy the opportunity to add some motion to the work I create. I produced this animated gif to promote the ease of travel to Manchester from Macclesfield.
