About me
I'm currently Lead UI/UX Designer at Volution where I work with the team to create new digital products, and evaluate existing ones in order to enhance the user experience.
I believe simplicity is the key to good visual design and I try to apply this to all the work I produce. As humans we are constantly trying to make sense of the world around us, and when things are communicated in a simple manner they are more likely to be understood. In design terms, this can be achieved by using a well thought out typographic hierarchy, use of grid systems in layouts to help organise the page, and by using primative shapes and an intelligent use of colour.
I feel being a designer is a huge privilege and I really enjoy the work that I do. It's great to work with other people to see their ideas brought to fruition, and the positive feedback I have received in doing so is a wonderful reward.
In my spare time I enjoy playing music, photography, cooking, travel and learning languages.
